I purchased a 1957 silver certificate from Publisher's Clearing House which stated it was the first year "In God We Trust" was printed on paper currency, when I disputed this they referred me to wikipedia which confirms this. However, I have a 1935 $ 1.00 silver certificate which has this motto on it. Why the discrepancy?
Please help me with...

- You may want to ask this at the Reference Desk; but I don't believe a silver certificate is considered currency, this may be why reliable sources indicate what you state the article does. 331dot (talk) 10:32, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
