Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Masao Hayashi

edit

Hi. It depends, I suppose, on whether one considers the act of naming new species to be a noteworthy act. I would say that this is a reasonably "exclusive" group of people, and likewise point out that if a given species of organism is notable enough to have its own WP article, then surely the person who named it should be considered just as notable. Seems logical to me. That being said, there seems little purpose in creating a page for Hayashi unless one or more of the species he named has a WP page that can link to him; otherwise it is an "orphan" page. Animals on Deaths in 2019

Hi! Yes, the polar bear was removed because it was a redlink. According to longstanding consensus on that list, animals and other non-humans need to have an article before being listed there. Nukualofa (talk) 23:15, 15 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
