It's not a matter of whether it looks like a diamond, a triangle, or a rhomboid, what matters is whether any description like that fits the encyclopedic tone that we strive for on Wikipedia. Quebec French

The sentence is about French spoken in Quebec and the linked article is on Quebec French. The Canadian French article is about French in Canada in general. The more specific article is more appropriate. Leave it. freshacconci talktalk 12:25, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

The reference has nothing to do with it. The sentence is talking about Quebec so the best wikilink is to the article on Quebec French specifically, not French in Canada in general. You're clearly a edit warrior but I suggest you leave it alone or do the proper thing and discuss it on the talk page per WP:BRD. Misinterpretation of WP:UNDERLINK

WP:UNDERLINK doesn't state that a nation must be linked in order to as was the case withThe Star-Spangled Banner before you decided to OVERLINK it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:30, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Please - do you realize how idiotic that argument sounds? For 'The Star-Spangled Banner', the initial mention of the country was linked to correct underlinking.
