Regarding your message on my talk page: I assume you saw the "you have new messages" notice and thought that my warning was for you. You have probably fallen victim to a software bug which causes random users to be notified that they have new messages, even though they are totally different people. The contributions from your IP show only your message on my talk page, and this user talk page (where I would have left a vandalism warning) did not exist until I created it just now, so I was probably warning a different person with a different IP address. Incidentally, it's quite rare that a large number of users use the same IP address, except in the case of AOL, which has been a thorn in Wikipedia's side for years since it makes it difficult to block vandals without blocking lots of other users too. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
