Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Tribute to Art Mokarow edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Tribute to Art Mokarow, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Wikipedia is about notable topics edit

Sorry, but I nominated Draft:Tribute to Art Mokarow for deletion. Wikipedia is not a memorial site and not for telling the world about someone's life story, no matter how good their works were.

If what this person did in life was genuinely notable according to Wikipedia's definition of notability, and can be backed up with citations to reliable and independent sources, then it may qualify for an article. It would also have to be written from a dispassionate, neutral point of view that plainly expresses facts only.

You have identified that you have a conflict of interest and a paid editing relationship with the subject, the latter of which is mandatory to disclose per Wikipedia's policy on paid editing. We highly discourage users from creating or editing topics where they have a personal or professional connection, because of the inherent difficulty in writing from the aforementioned neutral point of view. Also, it's important to note that articles are at no point under the ownership or control of their creators. Anyone can edit any article at any time, and you cannot insist that an article's content remain at a version that you prefer. The neutral point of view policy will ensure that both positive and negative information about a topic can appear if it's reliably sourced and neutrally worded.

I would strongly advise you and your employer to consider these points before attempting to write another article. Thank you for your cooperation. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:00, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
