Mononucleosis

You were correct. It was badly written because the bulk was a blatant copy and paste of another web page http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/common/infections/common/viral/077.html - I always suspect a copyvio when I see lots of text with no wiki style headings. Mononucleosis page issues

As for the actual concerns over the page, I simply feel that the current article is superfluous, too short to provide any depth of information, and just plain unnecessary, considering that there is a longer, more informative, and much better-written article right here. Thus, I will be changing the page again so that it will redirect to the preferred article; if you have a concern over this, please put it on my talk page as opposed to duking it out long-distance with me over edit summaries. Sorry, it looked like the conversion to a redirect was because of the material recently added by an IP user. (Which looked like copy from some other source).

The infectious mononucleosis page appears to cover just EBV infectious mono, so I tried turning the Mononucleosis page into a disambiguation page.

• Encourages making wikilinks more specific.
• Retains connection to similar Monocytosis.

After turning it into disambiguation page I found that it isn't clear what infectious mononucleosis article should cover. (talk:infectious mononucleosis#Causes) I can't find coverage of CMV mononucleosis. So seems like several articles there need clarification of what goes where.

Would prefer to discuss this on the article pages so that others can participate, and keeps record so future editors know why things done. So started discussion there. talk:mononucleosis Zodon (talk) 02:45, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

What the Freak is wrong?

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm just playing with the title. I restored the version of the Super Freak article prior to your edits. It's Wikipedia policy to fill out an edit summary for each edit which is not immediately self-evident. Even then it's helpful for editors to fill out an edit summary as it is a useful indication in editors' watchlists and in the article's edit history.

When contemplating broad, sweeping edits that remove content from an article, it is common practice and editorial etiquette to open a new section on the article's talk page to discuss the edits you wish to make beforehand, as it gives interested editors the opportunity to discuss any differences of perspective.

Perhaps your removal of the "covers" section was due to a misunderstanding about the policy on lists? It is a notable part of the story of the life of a song to mention those cases when it was recorded, sampled, mixed, referenced or otherwise used by other artists. If you objected to the bullets, the editorial response would be to remove the bullets, not the information. You'll want to double-check that any lists you bite the bullets off of have proper sentence punctuation, namely periods. If you've made any similar removals of content, would you please consider undoing your edits and simply reformatting the content?
