Doctor Who: A Celebration

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Doctor Who: A Celebration, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.soundtrackfan.com/livescores/other/british/gold-tv-doctor-who-concert.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 17:28, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:DOCTORWHOAC.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DOCTORWHOAC.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Xmas2007.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Xmas2007.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 17:00, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Xmas20071.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Xmas2007.JPG. The copy called Image:Xmas2007.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 08:00, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.

Voyage image

edit

Hi, you seem to be in an edit war on the article Voyage of the Damned (Doctor Who). The reason that your image keeps being removed, as explained above, is that it doesn't conform to Wikipedia's copyright standards. As well as the links I left you earlier, you should also read the policies at this page, this page and this page. See you around!--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 13:00, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Xmas20071.JPG

edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Xmas20071.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image which is not under a free license or in the public domain and it has not been used in any article for more than seven days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Xmas20071.JPG|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Jackharkness.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:00, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gospel images

edit

I'm not going to post you a templated message, because your talk page is full of them, and they obviously aren't working. Generally speaking, you cannot upload copyrighted work on wikipedia (if you do, it will get deleted). There are a few instances where we allow copyrighted work (called "fair use"). We have specific guidelines detailing when and how to use such work (see WP:FU). I'm going to ask you to please not upload any more copyrighted images. Only upload images that you personally created, or that you know for a fact (and can prove) are licensed freely (such as a creative commons image from flickr). Please read up on our image use policy. If you have any questions or don't understand, please ask. Uploading copyrighted work without valid rationale is a form of disruptive editing, and you have done it enough in the past (and been warned for it) to know better by now. If you have any questions, seriously, ask. I'd like to help you, but if you continue with inappropriate uploads, you may be blocked from editing wikipedia. Thanks for your consideration.-Andrew c [talk] 14:27, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
