Transylvanianism edit

Hello. Transylvanianism is not an autonomist movement. It just promotes peace among Hungarians and Romanians in the region. Please stop adding it back to the template or I will request its protection. Super Ψ Dro 11:35, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I agree that it is not an autonomist movement. However, the full title of the navbox is "Movements of regionalism, separatism and stateless nationalism in Europe". I would argue that Transylvanianism should be included, because it falls under regionalism. Thank you. --2A04:2413:8003:B380:E458:C1D5:38C9:2419 (talk) 11:41, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is the definition Wikipedia gives to regionalism: "Regionalism is a political ideology which seeks to increase the political power, influence and/or self-determination of the people of one or more subnational regions. It focuses on the "development of a political or social system based on one or more" regions and/or the national, normative or economic interests of a specific region, group of regions or another subnational entity, gaining strength from or aiming to strengthen the "consciousness of and loyalty to a distinct region with a homogeneous population", similarly to nationalism. More specifically, "regionalism refers to three distinct elements: movements demanding territorial autonomy within unitary states; the organization of the central state on a regional basis for the delivery of its policies including regional development policies; political decentralization and regional autonomy"."
Transylvanianism does not promote anything like this, specially territorial or economic autonomy. I'm in fact researching some papers right now such as this one and there's nothing that fits this definition. The link I've been adding back, List of active separatist movements in Europe#Romania, fits more. Notice that most linked pages are pages about the nationalism or independence/autonomy movement of a certain people or region or just a political party promoting any of these. Transylvanianism is right now the "weakest" of the links there regarding regionalism or similar movements. Super Ψ Dro 11:44, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Here are some more links. This blog makes a difference between Transylvanian possible autonomist/separatist movements and Transylvanianism [1]. A Hungarian notable political party called for a "new Transylvanianism" in the context of cooperation between the Hungarian and Romanian Governments to ensure the rights of the Hungarian minority in Transylvania [2]. I found an article explaining well the concept of Transylvanianism: "Transylvanianism is a complex ideology rooted in the Hungarian national movement of the nineteenth century, one that later turned into a diverse manifestation of the Hungarian minorities in Romania through literature, culture, politics and self-definition. Elaborated by writers, historians and journalists after 1918 and even more vehemently after 1947, the movement aimed to preserve and reinforce Hungarian national pride and identity in the region through cultural activities, education and political action" [3] (page 2 of the PDF, page 203 of the journal). This should leave clear that Transylvanianism is not related to regionalism. Super Ψ Dro 12:28, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please stop reverting. Transylvanianism has been shown not to represent any kind of regionalism/nationalism/autonomy movement/independence movement. I won't repeat myself any further. Next time you just revert with no context and without sources to verify your claims, I'll report. And this doesn't just apply for this particular IP account. Super Ψ Dro 15:10, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
