December 2020 edit

  Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Political parties in the United States, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Political parties in the United States; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. HaeB (talk) 09:06, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Political parties in the United States, you may be blocked from editing. gobonobo + c 10:42, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Political parties in the United States. gobonobo + c 10:48, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Request reason:

I am just putting a fact on to the article but people are warring against me, you should block them not me 24.114.67.15 (talk) 13:30, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

See WP:NOTTHEM. Your unblock request should only focus on your actions, as that is the only thing that you can control. 331dot (talk) 13:38, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

331dot beat me to declining your request. My response was this: "Edit warring is edit warring, whether you believe that the content you're adding is correct or not. If the other users were edit warring, they will be handled appropriately as well. If you agree to stop edit warring and discuss the issue on the article's talk page, I'll unblock you. Otherwise, your block will expire in 24 hours." ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:42, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
