Commas

edit

I have gone through your recent edits removing the commas before the names of soap operas you've added. For instance;

Maria Connor (also Sutherland) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street, portrayed by Samia Longchambon.

You are creating a clause that is truncated before it has a subject. Thus;

"from the British ITV soap opera"

From what British ITV soap? You've described the TV programme, starting with a definite article "the" to inform the reader that you are talking about a very specific TV programme, but stop short of identifying which one, chopping off its name to appear all alone in the next clause after a comma.

The comma before "Coronation Street" simply does not belong there. For example, look at this article here about the soap actor Leslie Grantham. Do you see a comma before "EastEnders"? No. Or this article about actor David_Tennant. Is there a comma before "Doctor Who"?

Could you also please use summaries on your edits. It helps others understand what you are doing and avoids misunderstandings arising. You could also consider creating a user account, so that your edits all appear under the one name.

Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:15, 14 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ponyo do you just have some kind of personal vendetta against me or something, as you seem to enjoy destroying all my hours of hard work. Editing Wikipedia is a huge part of my life and something I take very seriously; and it also really helps me to cope with my mental health issues and suicidal thoughts. (2.24.230.23 (talk) 21:47, 16 February 2021 (UTC))Reply

I already responded to you here. You are site banned from editing Wikipedia for incessant block evasion under WP:3X. You will either need to successfully appeal your block via your original account, or find another therapeutic hobby.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:00, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ponyo I will not find another hobby, as I have not done anything wrong, you're the one vandalising my edits; and editing Wikipedia isn't just a hobby for me it's a commitment and something I am 100% dedicated to. (2.24.230.23 (talk) 22:06, 16 February 2021 (UTC))Reply

I have repeatedly provided you with the standard offer which would allow you to make an appeal of your community site ban to return to editing via your primary account. Unless and until a successful appeal is made, you are in violation of Wikipedia policy and your ban each time you edit. As long as you are evading your block, your edits will be reverted per WP:BANREVERT.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:33, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ponyo this is absolutely ridiculous. (2.24.230.23 (talk) 22:38, 16 February 2021 (UTC))Reply

Ponyo since your such an expert perhaps you'd be so kind as to show me how I am supposed to make an appeal against my completely unnecessary and not to mention unreasonable blocking. I am just so sick and tired of repeatedly being blocked for trying to improve Wikipedia and to have all my hours of time, effort and hard work delated/reverted for no good reason and for it to be branded as so-called vandalism, you honestly have no idea just how infuriating and deeply insulting that is do you because you seem to have very little compassion. (2.24.230.23 (talk) 03:12, 17 February 2021 (UTC))Reply

You make the appeal via your original registered account (the one that has the tag that says "This account has been blocked indefinitely because CheckUser evidence confirms that the account's owner has abusively used multiple accounts"). There are instructions for making an appeal on the talk page of that account. You will need to read the Guide to Appealing Blocks first as you are note blocked for vandalism, and your edits are not being reverted as vandalism. You are blocked for checkuser confirmed abuse of multiple accounts and your edits are being reverted as they are block evasion. -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:05, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
