Hi Kerry -- thanks for your feedback! I was using "New Farm"actually which you contribute to as well I believe as a standard. I found the adjective "affluent" in New Farm's article, although it is uncited for New Farm, so decided to add a descriptor for Teneriffe as well but making sure it is cited.
The issue with the census, is because of the bundling of census data with Bowen Hills, New Stead and Teneriffe. Data isn't representative of the exact demographic in Teneriffe, so took the one from visitbrisbane, which I feel is a reputable enough source and I could be mistaken, not linked to any real estate firm?
The exact phrasing is "luxury riverside *real estate* hotspot in 2018", which is accurate I believe as per a national panel of experts and the phrasing clearly indicates real estate and isnt subjective as their definition applied to a national list of suburbs are 1million+ pricing if you go through the article and wasn't squarely focusing on Brissie ;)
I felt these are necessary additions to the Teneriffe page and I made sure to date (2018, 2017, etc) so the information there is relevant to the times with factual data, especially since the suburb has been amalagamated and split from Newstead in recent years so citable info can be difficult to find so actually stuck with info there that I can comfortably cite.
And oh, I don't have any commercial interest with Teneriffe, these are info I compiled (amongst for other nearby suburbs) during my "next suburb to live" hunt after moving to QLD recently ;) So I thought I'd share it as I felt only Fortitude Valley and New Farm had a reasonable amount of info there for others to start their research on :)

Hi, 1runeberg! Thanks for replying. The "affluent" has gone from New Farm now, thanks for pointing it out; it was part of a number of edits that seemed to be promotional in nature and it looks like that one got missed when the others were toned down. It's not that such words are "wrong" per se or that we should pretend all suburbs are equal but rather that there is a need to support claims with evidence in the article rather than repeat opinion. Alas when it comes to real estate and tourism websites, you have to expect some promotional language. While such websites can be reliable in some regards (e.g. data on recent sales, listing the attractions of an area), their general prose tends to be promotional, so there are situations where I might use them as a citation and situations where I might not. For what it's worth, the 2016 census boundaries for Teneriffe are a very close match to reality (as per the current Qld Govt mapping); see the census map which you can compare with the Queensland government mapping (turn on Layers > Boundaries> Locality). And the census comparison I suggested does indeed support the claim that Teneriffe residents are "younger" and "more affluent" than the Brisbane average. There were a lot of issues with the 2011 census having census boundaries that lumped multiple areas together; this may be what you have experienced, but the 2016 census is much better with its boundaries reflecting reality. I had to add the comment about commercial interest because it is common to get suburb articles sprinkled with peacock terms, moved closer to the CBD, and any mention of negative things such as flooding deleted; they even change the local government area (recently a couple of suburbs, from memory Morayfield and Narangba, "moved" from the Moreton Bay Region onto the Sunshine Coast!), so we have to be viligant. Hi, Kerry! Thanks, I completely understand. I'm new to Wikipedia and was going by what's already there, but it makes sense to keep the language more neutral and tone down some of the more subjective adjectives (made that rhyme lol). And ah... must've not been looking at the wrong census dates, thought I went to the raw data they had on their site but couldn't find Teneriffe separated as I also wanted to put a "Demographics" section in the page. Hi, great to see your interest in Teneriffe, but can you tone down the language a bit please. It's starting to read like a real estate advertisement rather than an encyclopedia. Words like "prestigous", "luxury hotspot", "young and affluent demographic". While I appreciate you have provided citations in connection with these, they appear to from sites which exist to sell real estate, so it is not entirely impartial. Generally in Wikipedia, we try to avoid these kinds of "peacock terms" in favour of presenting data that presents the claim to the reader. For example, if you want to talk about the young and affluent demographic, what does the 2016 census say about the demographics of Teneriffe, how does it compare with demographics of Brisbane as a whole? Using the census as citations, you can demonstrate that the people are younger (using whatever age range you consider "young") and more affluent. Use numbers rather than adjective to make your point. Finally, if you have a commercial interest in Teneriffe that might constitute a conflict of interest, you should declare this on your user page. Similarly if you contributing to Wikipedia as part of your job or business, you should also declare that you are a paid editor on your user page (see the Terms of Service - section on Paid contributions without disclosure.
