Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 21:49, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

iMDB isn't a reliable source for actors' biographical information edit

I have reverted the edit you made to Jessica Biel because Wikipedia doesn't consider iMDB to be a reliable source. Please read the linked guideline for further information. You seem to be frustrated that you think people are trying to deny recognition of celebrities' Jewish ancestry; I don't share my own personal life details but I assure you I am not trying to do that! I am only trying to enforce Wikipedia's standards for reliable sourcing regarding living people. iMDB allows anyone to contribute content without references, and so Wikipedia editors have no way of confirming whether iMDB's information regarding Biel's Hungarian grandparents is actually true. How did iMDB find out about this? No one knows, and Wikipedia doesn't include facts that don't have reliable supporting references for confirmation. Please go to the Jessica Biel talk page and explain your position if you have a more reliable source than iMDB, and other editors will discuss the issue.
