editHello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Talk:Chalfont St Peter A.F.C., you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 09:18, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi, i had written the original content for discussion, before it started an argument with other users. Thus to make it clearer it was removed.
Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Chalfont St Peter A.F.C.. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Greyjoy talk 09:22, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

I was clearing up the page for discussion? But fine....makes no sense at all.
- Talk pages are meant to keep a record of the discussion. They may be archived if a thread sits for some times without activity, but even then, it's preserved on another page. By deleting the thread, you made it difficult for readers to follow the sequence of events.
- That said, if there's something in a previous comment that you want to retract, you can mark through it with strikethrough HTML:
One, two, <del>five</del> three... *throws grenade*
- produces the output
- One, two,
fivethree... *throws grenade*
- With apologies to Monty Python for mangling a Holy Grail quote by way of example. —C.Fred (talk) 15:51, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
