July 2021 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Randy Newman, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Randy Newman. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. ~ Itsskv08 (Talk) 15:23, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as you did with this edit to Randy Newman, you may be blocked from editing. Isabelle 🔔 15:54, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Randy Newman. Serols (talk) 17:00, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in. BusterD (talk) 20:13, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am unblocking you. I apologize for my hasty judgement. I see you tried to contact me on my talk page but I didn't notice or read your message until minutes ago. Further, you've tried to discuss this on Talk:Randy Newman and I replied, but left the block in place. I just returned to keyboard minutes ago. I am certain the songwriter is a very different Randy Newman than the one you referenced with Amazon author page. I am sorry, and if I can make it right, I will do so. Welcome edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 173.49.69.238, made test edits which have been reverted or removed. If you did this, please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. If 173.49.69.238 is a shared IP address and you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors and further irrelevant notices.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit the Teahouse, our help forum for new users, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! BusterD (talk) 13:44, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
