Rollback and Change (reply) edit

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to me on my talk page. I'm a bit confused about your question. The only edits I see on your account is this [1] which seems perfectly fine to me.

You could be talking about this other IP address 160.39.52.45 which recently made changes to the article which I reverted (sometimes IP addresses change) where you changed "assistant professor" to "associate professor." The reason I made the revert was because the statement cited a source (this one) which stated that Cerf was an assistant professor. Now that article was written in 2016, so a lot may have changed in the last three years! If you have a reputable source, feel free to change it and cite it.

You don't need to click the undo button or anything. Just simply edit the page and make your edit (like last time), but this time at the end, make sure to cite a reputable source that states that he is now indeed an associate professor. If you are unfamiliar with citing sources, feel free to reach out to me. In the article editor, there's actually a button that says "Cite". Just simply click it, follow the instructions and you'll be good!

The sandbox you are referring to is: WP:Sandbox. It's basically a place for you to help you get familiarized with the Wikipedia editor. For example, if you're not sure if you are citing your sources correctly you could edit the article and try citing something there! The page is periodically blanked so you won't be doing any harm even if you mess up. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or the friendly people at the Teahouse!  ΤheQ Editor  Talk? 22:46, 10 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
