High noon

edit

Hi 130.251.51.82: There are two issues with your High Noon edit. First, the TCM reference states the year was 1870, which is in opposition to your 1881 or later. Second, your link for the theatrical opera Mazeppa goes to a disambiguation page with multiple years given—none being 1881. Perhaps you meant Mazeppa (opera), which states it was composed 1881-1883. Please clarify these issues. Regards, Pinethicket (talk) 10:29, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

FYI, there is a discussion about date here: IMDb: High Noon, Trivia. Apparently, others have note inconsistencies. Pinethicket (talk) 16:07, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Date of film

edit

Please discuss the matter of the date on the article's talk page. Your points are interesting but it may not be possible to pinpoint the date of a fictional film. Anachronistic, contradictory details are common in films. The manufacturing date of Sierra No. 3 is not relevant as that style of locomotive was made earlier and this locomotive has often been redecorated with dummy accessories and paint schemes to represent differerent time periods. For example, it was used in the film Kansas Pacific which is set in the 1860s. I am the lead writer for the locomotive article. The war posters are the best evidence, but they could hang for years. So, the year could be 1899 or 1900. Please do not edit war. Discuss it on the talk page. Thanks. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 00:04, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
