Placenames

Please stop changing the names of places in our articles, to different names to those used as our article titles, as you did at Faizabad division. We use the Common names in English for our articles, not the "Official names", so changing the name breaks internal links to those articles, and is confusing to our readers - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 16:45, 4 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mr.Arjayay,it seems that you don't live in India ,so you are unaware of ground reality. It has ben more than 5 years of name change of Faizabad division to Ayodhya division and it is the neew normal.Nowadays people refer that place as Ayodhya just as Bombay changed to Mumbai. So,kindly o take a note of it. No offences and peace 111.125.208.243 (talk) 05:45, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is a world-wide encyclopedia - I'm sure that most of the local people know both names, so it doesn't matter which name we use, however, the majority of the people around the rest of the world will know the old name, which is why we use the WP:COMMONNAME. It will take time for them to know the new names - Bangalore changed its official name in 2006, but we still use the WP:COMMONNAME not the Official name - Arjayay (talk) 12:23, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Ambedkar Nagar district and Faizabad division , you may be blocked from editing.
It was clearly explained, above, that you should not change the names of places in our articles, to different names to those used as our article titles, but you have continued doing so. Please stop - Arjayay (talk) 09:36, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to censor or remove encyclopedic content based on the fact that it is offensive to some readers, as you did at Indian Police Service, you may be blocked from editing. Wikipedia is not censored, and attempts to censor encyclopedic content will be regarded as vandalism. Wracking 💬 16:22, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Respected user,
Neither I am censoring nor am I vandalising any of the articles. I am only correcting the incorrect and irrelevant facts written by someone in wikipedia pages. That article which was earlier there as only a personal opinion of that particular officer and not a view of Indian Police services as a whole.I personally know that not all of IPS officers share the same views as mentioned . Please stop defaming India and its democatic organisations unnecessarily irrespective of whatever views and political inclinations you haveyou have.I urge you to contibute in keeping wikipedia unpolarised and unbiased and a truuly free encyclopedia which provides only pure knowledge.Kindly correct that article at the earliest. 111.125.208.243 (talk) 17:40, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi IP user, I'm responding to a message you left on my talk page. Your edits at Indian Police Service have been reverted because they involved the removal of sourced information without adequate explanation. In my reversion, I advised you to take it to the talk page. Again, I advise that you do that now as well. Remember, edits at Wikipedia should be sourced and follow Wikipedia's core principles. I don't deny that the article needs improvement, but your own personal experiences with IPS officers do not justify your removal of content. Thanks. Wracking 💬 18:41, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
