December 2023 edit

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, you may be blocked from editing. ภץאคгöร 16:53, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please read MOS:LARGENUM and don't accuse people of disruptive editing for normal rounding of numbers. -- 109.77.196.243 (talk) 18:55, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. You need to stop edit warring and discuss your edits. 331dot (talk) 20:31, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

@331dot:
As I said above I'm following the rules of MOS:LARGENUM. I have raised the issue of other editors not following this rule with Wikipedia Project Film see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film#Normal_rounding_of_numbers_and_inconsistency
As for user Legobro he disagrees with an edit of mine [on an entirely different aritcle] and refuses to explain or discuss the matter on that actual article, and instead has taken to hounding me across other articles. This is particularly egregious in one case where he is restoring an edit full of errors ([1]) that is being discussed on the article talk page. -- 109.77.196.243 (talk) 20:38, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I warned them as well. As I told them, being correct with your edits is not a defense to edit warring, as everyone in an edit war thinks that they are correct. If they do not engage you in discussion, then you should go to the edit warring noticeboard or request page protection. Other editor behavior issues may be reported to WP:ANI. 331dot (talk) 20:45, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I gave up having an account years ago and I prefer to edit anonymously. I've tried to taking issues to the admins before but it almost always results in the article being locked which would only empower him to continue to force his preferred changes without any discussion.
Despite the hounding I'm still happy to discuss. See Talk:Transformers:_Rise_of_the_Beasts. (FWIW I am trying to simplify the wording and avoid a very similar years long slow dumb edit war that happened on Bumblebee (film).) -- 109.77.196.243 (talk) 20:53, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't recall mentioning anything about an account; if you don't want one, that's your business. I'm an admin, here discussing this with you. Yes, the article would be protected("locked") to prevent disruption- but that would prevent the other user from disrupting it too. They can't change anything if they are unwilling to discuss it. 331dot (talk) 20:57, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I got ahead of myself, people inevitably tell me I should get an account. As an anon user a locked article would block me from editing. It was my understanding that he as a named user would still be allowed to edit the locked article, and it would be up to some other active editor or admin to revert him. Perhaps there is a specific way to lock the article I'm not familiar with that would prevent both of us from editing. Transformers:_Rise_of_the_Beasts isn't an article getting much oversight at the moment. As it stands I risk falling foul of WP:3RR if I were to revert any more of his edits. -- 109.77.196.243 (talk) 21:04, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
If a longstanding account was involved, the page protection can be such that only admins can edit it if necessary. We also have the option of partially blocking a user from a specific article or articles(this is relatively new). 331dot (talk) 21:09, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
The Transformers article has been locked, and from the admin edit summary[2] I seem to have been prejudged as a sock puppet. I asked the admin for explanation[3] and am waiting for comment.
User:Legobro99 continues to edit war and WP:HOUND me, again restoring an edit (diff) that is obviously broken, being actively discussed on the article talk page (Talk:Crazy,_Stupid,_Love#Revert, and the editor who made that specific change User:InfiniteNexus has even acknowledged that " As for modifying reference titles, that was a mistake done by accident" but User:Legobro99 keeps restoring the edit anyway. -- 109.76.200.233 (talk) 12:59, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have par-blocked Legobro99 for edit warring. 331dot (talk) 13:04, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I expect I'm going to have to escalate this further. I thought I'd seen some hubris on Wikipedia but his requesting a page lock on the very page he was disruptively editing was a new low. A temporary page block for 48 hours might help, but he edit warred over the Transformers article for days and only ever made one brief comment on the article talk page after he was warned. I will wait and see what happens, maybe a two day wait will help. -- 109.76.200.233 (talk) 13:14, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
User:Legobro99 still WP:HOUNDING me to other articles (diff). -- 109.76.201.77 (talk) 14:34, 10 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
