edit

As you deleted the CTOP notice I won't reproduce it here, but you may not participate in discussions about the Arab-Israeli conflict outside of making edit-requests. Your commentary at Template talk:Israel–Hamas war infobox goes well beyond that. Please do not continue editing this topic until you meet the requirements. nableezy - 17:39, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

What is an edit suggestion if not an explained edit request? galenIgh 22:56, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is not an edit-request, this is you commenting about the topic. An edit request would be of the form "X should be changed to Y" or "Z should be added". Further commentary on the worth of that suggestion is something you may not do. nableezy - 23:27, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
If that's the intention, it seems that Talk page should be extended-protected (like some other Talks pages). galenIgh 00:01, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Protection is a separate thing, although protection does frequently follow disruption on an AI page. WP:ARBECR is what you need to follow until you have 500 edits. Selfstudier (talk) 11:25, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Are you and nableezy the same person? You seem to edit and reply in tandem. galenIgh 23:24, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
No. I don’t know why Selfstudier is responding here, maybe he thought he could help you understand. nableezy - 23:27, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Happened also in my original edit that prompted your intervention. First a comment from you, then further related page edits from Selfstudier. galenIgh 23:32, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Nableezy: "This is not an edit-request, this is you commenting about the topic"
The first sentence refers to a previous edit suggestion which the replied-to user mentioned.
The second sentence, indeed only superficially edit-related, is an aside that is: indicated as such, replies to a direct comment from the previous user, and closes the side discussion with a clear "but that's not the topic at hand". galenIgh 21:54, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
You may request an edit, that is it. You may not argue over it. Change x to y with z source. That is the extent that you are allowed to participate. You seem plenty smart enough to understand this but if it remains unclear you can ask somebody else. But in the meantime please follow the restrictions. Thank you. nableezy - 22:21, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is a clear violation of WP:ECR. This is your final warning, further violations will result in sanctions. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:01, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
