Crayta is an upcoming game creation system for Stadia, developed by Unit 2 Games to be released on July 1st.[1][2]

Gameplay

edit

In Crayta players are able to play and create games collaboratively with up to 19 other players. When creating a game they can build environments and objects made out of voxels. At the most basic level this is done by dropping blocks in the world, similar to Minecraft. Players are also able to place different kinds of 3D objects in the world. Logic can be added to the game using a built-in Lua code editor.[2]

There are tools that allow to easily create a specific game mode, like capture the flag. It is then possible to modify or add to the games logic using the Lua code editor.[3]

Players are represented in the game by a customisable avatar. While editing a game, players can also disconnect the camera from their avatar and fly around as a drone.

Crayta will be debuting in the Stadia Pro program[4]
