Maxim Prodan (Ukrainian: Максим Володимирович Продан; born 1993, Rynhach, Chernivtsi Oblast) is a professional boxer from Ukraine. He has held the IBF International welterweight title since 2019.

He defeated 18 fighters during his career.

Young years

Born in Rynhach, Novoselytsia Raion, Chernivtsi region, Ukraine.

His parents come from Ukraine: The mother was born in Rynhach (Chernivtsi region) region and the father comes from Hrozyntsi. Since childhood, Maxim practiced box.

He finished the school in Novoselitsa (2008) and then, finished Kamyanets-Podilsky’s Lyceum with reinforced military and physical training (2010).

He received qualification of Bachelor of Physical Education at Faculty of Physical Culture and human health of Chernivtsi National Yuri Fedkovych University (2014 year). Candidate in Master of Sports of Ukraine (2011 year).

In 2014 he moved to commune Bovisio Masciago, in Italy, where he lives now.

Sport’s career

At the age of 12 he moved to live by his aunt in the central district, where he found the possibility to engage in boxing.

In Ukraine he practised box at regional, all-Ukrainian, and later, at international tournaments.  As a result, at the age of 18, he became a Candidate in Masters of Sports in boxing.

He studied at the sporting club "Boyan-Kolos" from 2007 to 2012. Conducted 60 battles, won 50 victories.

At the age of 22, took place the first battle in the professional boxing – he won against the Hungarian opponent by the knockout.

As a result, if we don’t take into account the only draw, that happened due to the injury of the hand, 14 fights Maksym completed ahead of schedule.

On March 8 2019 he gained the IBF International belt in fight against the Belgian Steve Jami.
