Information pertaining to a father's military service.

My Father (born in the 1940s) was a United States Army Special Forces soldier, or Green Beret, whose military service spanned from the jungles of Vietnam in the early 1960s to the deserts of the Persian Gulf in the early 1990s.

History edit

Grew up hunting small game in Texas where he developed his skillset as a marksman. Served as Cadet Major in his high school Junior ROTC program. Survived Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars. Radio operator in SE Asia. Served in 12th, 19th, and 5th Special Forces Groups. Particpated often in joint operations with South Korean special forces on the Koream DMZ. During multiple surgeries, doctors would inform family he was having flashbacks and think he was fighting in Vietnam.
