A time Winston learned to like English

- This is being written for my college class English 102 intro to messing with the INTERNET via Wikipedia (next quarter we do via twitter going to learn the ways of the 45th president).-

Winston Hunt is not fond of English, even though it is his native language. To him it feels like you are speaking in a language that is made of various clothing found at Goodwill. None of the pieces work together and thus is tacky.

He started off not liking English because of school. The memorization of words was boring. Using phonics didn't make sense, because in English rules are not meant to be broken instead they are meant to be thrown in front of oncoming steam locomotives. He eventually got past phonics and never used it again. Then it was off to grammar a minefield in which his grammar Nazi English teachers broke his will to attempt writing more than "sally ate" lest you use the perfect past participle in the wrong clause of the compound sentence. he digresses. All the way through the those hours spent on spelling pronunciation and grammar not understanding any of it but still finding himself with an A. He was then allowed the privilege of writing essays. At this point he didn’t feel like he had a good understanding to write essays. But he trudged on, one mistake at a time. Adapting to new English teachers and there subsequent new rules, he was then thought worthy of participating in college writing. At this point He was throughly disenfranchised with English and thought it cruel.

Winston could not put his finger on it but there was something about college that had made Winston like English. One of his theories is that he was given a list of rules that said all the rules and how to fallow them. Something that he thinks should have been provided at the being. He is now a big believer in lists. Another one of his theories is that he changes teachers every quarter or so weeks which keeps it fresh.
