My name is James Medina, I am a PhD student in the Evolution, Ecology, and Population Biology program at Washington University in St. Louis. I work in the lab of Drs. Joan Strassmann and David Queller, where I study kin discrimination in bacterial symbionts of the social amoeba Dictyostelium discoideum . I received my Bachelors degree from Oberlin College in 2015, where I double majored in Biology and Neuroscience.

In fall 2021 I am assisting our Behavioral Ecology students as they write Wikipedia entries on lizard species.
