Waseem Marzouki (Born in Syria, in 1982) is a Syrian artist whose work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.

Waseem Marzouki is a Syrian artist known for his thought-provoking and emotionally charged works that explore themes of identity, displacement, and political conflict. In addition to his work as a visual artist, Marzouki has also worked extensively with film and has held screenings of his work at various galleries and film festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, Venice Biennale, Saatchi Gallery, Qatar Museum, Tehran Film & TV Festival, and Damascus the capital of culture.

Born in 1982, Marzouki received his BA in Fine Arts from Damascus University before going on to study cinematography in Hollywood, California. He has had a successful career as an artist, with his work being exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. Some of his notable exhibitions include the Venice Biennale, Castelli Art space in Los Angeles, Saatchi Gallery in London, Meem Gallery in Dubai, Markhia Gallery in Qatar, Institute of Islamic Cultures in Paris, Waqif Art Center in Doha, and Goethe Institute in Damascus. His work is also part of the permanent collections of several museums, foundations, and private collectors.

Marzouki is a socially and politically engaged artist, and his work often reflects the current events and issues facing the Middle East and its diaspora. In 2015, he was forced to flee the war in Syria and relocate to Los Angeles, California, where he currently lives and works. Despite the challenges he has faced, Marzouki remains dedicated to creating powerful and meaningful art that speaks to a global audience.
