Vita A Zero Kelvin is a pseudonym of Andrea Gravina (born 11 December 1992), an Italian student of Biology.

Biography

Birth and early years (1992-2007)

Andrea Gravina was born December 11th, 1992 in Sarno (SA). His father is a worker and his mother was a kindergarten teacher. He's lived for six years in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, until he moved with his family to Sant'Anastasia. Since he was very young, he's always been interested in nature and English language. He was really good at school and he didn't have to put much effort to get the best marks. He was particularly good at Maths, Sciences and English while he despised History and Italian literature.

Teenage years (2007-2011)

In 2007 he was given Internet access and he started listening to music on YouTube. Some of the first songs he discovered on his own were Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up", The Dandy Warhols' "We Used To Be Friends" and other songs he doesn't remember. One day, searching for a Tomb Raider: Anniversary video, he stumbled upon a Tomb Raider video that had the song When I Grow Up by Garbage in the background and he fell in love for it. Later that year he downloaded Garbage's entire discography and he started researching about Shirley Manson. He soon became a huge fan of Garbage and stopped listening to other music.

In 2008 an Internet friend from Israel invited him to listen to other music. He soon became interested in The Cardigans, Nirvana, The Dandy Warhols, Elastica and Radiohead. By Autumn 2009 he also discovered about Fiona Apple, one of his biggest inspirations and favourite musicians still to this day.

Maturity (2011-present)

Andrea graduated at the University of Naples Federico II on 18 March 2015 in Biology. He currently studies Molecular Diagnostics for his master's degree in Biology.

Interest in Music

Andrea is an Alternative Rock enthusiast and possesses a collection of music albums. His interest in music was aroused when he found out about Garbage in 2007. The first song he listened from them was When I Grow Up. Other of his favourite artists include The Cardigans, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Rufus Wainwright, Dido, Hole, Brody Dalle, Björk, Chris Cornell and many more. He hopes to learn to play the guitar and the piano someday.

YouTube channel

On January 9th 2012 he opened his personal YouTube channel VitaAZeroKelvin (literally Life At Zero Kelvin). He later adopted this as his personal nickname on every other website and social network. According to him, the nickname both shows his love for Biology and life, and his difficult life experiences. He started using Sony Vegas Pro in 2009 and since then he learnt video editing by himself. He hopes to start making videos on his YouTube channel by 2015.
