BLACKOUT is the name of the first extended play (EP) of the Portuguese music producer, DJ and composer
Vicente Stélvio de Abreu Gomes, (born May 16, 1992) better known as Waymad-Beatz or simple Waymad. The EP was been released as a digital download on March 9 2015 on Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, eMusic in an association with MEO Music and exclusive broadcasting rights with RTP channels between the years 2014 and 2015 while still residing in Portugal (now resident in The Netherlands).
In 2014, Waymad-Beatz partnered with the clothing brand EarBOX to create an enigmatic image, walking through the streets of the center of Lisbon the rehearsal for the EP (Blackout) was released with a Single his theme Flatness filmed in Lisbon in Terreiro do Paço drawing the attention of thousands of Portuguese on the streets, this was their first big leap for Portuguese Television.
Considered as something unique and innovative, the coat mask created as Waymad only (removing 'beatz') was created to make the title of his first EP shorter (Waymad-Blackout).
Days before the launch, already in 2015 in partnership with the agency UpMusic Talents, a press release was made to promote its EP style EDM (Waymad - Blackout) distributed by Moon Records Lisboa (NMusic) in association with MEO Music.

The reception of the EP (Blackout) was very positive, the track Typelogic reached the Top 10 EDM on the MEO Music Portugal music platform. And his track Eccentric, also from the EP (Blackout), was very well received for its quality of production and editing, filmed in Matosinhos by the production agency Química Criativa. Television of Portugal), RTP Internacional, and also being broadcast on RTP Africa.
