Guru Deseye Subai was born in Rivers State, Nigeria[2]. He grew up in a Christian family and was actively involved in church activities from a young age. His late father urged him to become a lawyer but he insisted on becoming a spiritualist as he believed he had the innate penchant for it. Once he noticed his late father was poised to ruin his spiritual journey he ran away from his hometown in Bayelsa State, Nigeria to Ogoni, Rivers State, Nigeria. While he was on the run in Ogoni, he went on a healing spree on the locals and word about him spread far and wide[3]. The awareness of his spiritual potential made him seek guidance and mentorship under Guru Raz Yazdani in Baroda, India.[4][5] During his spiritual journey in Baroda, India he extensively studied different oriental healing methods including extracting poison from the human body via a crystal ball and transferring it into an animal's body.

Philosophy, Teachings, and Healing Methods

edit

Guru Deseye Subai is a prolific author, inspirational speaker, and teacher[6]. He has authored several phenomenal books centered on anti-aging and practical self-healing, concept of magnetism and attraction, philosophy of life, destiny, and marriage, etc., all published by Desires Pathfinder Publishing.

In addition to his work as a spiritual leader and author, Guru Deseye Subai is also a renowned motivational speaker, who has spoken at conferences and spiritual events around the world. His speeches focus on personal growth, leadership, the existence of water spirits, and the power of faith. The Guru has also been featured on various broadcast media across the Nigerian airwaves because of his vast years of knowledge and experience in Philosophy, Natural and Universal laws, Psychology, Christianity, and Mysticism.

Guru Deseye teaches that rapid spiritual progress could be made by following a path of love, devotion, and surrender. He described divine love as self-offering and self-expansion. His path is not one of earthly renunciation or asceticism, but a middle path where the seeker has the opportunity to renounce or transform the negative qualities which stand in the way of union with the "Divine". Guru Deseye teaches that meditation brings the light of the soul forward to reach the highest reality as soon as possible. Guru Deseye stated that if you: "Create a positive thought within you, and cling to it firmly, you will obtain visible results." An integral element of Guru Deseye's teachings is the understanding of 'magnetism' as it is through this invisible power we attract to ourselves things we pine for. Guru Deseye believes that we are all truly unlimited in spirit.

Guru Deseye's philosophy explains the acceptance of life, soulmates, and reincarnation. He also believes that by sharing goodwill and inspiration to others and serving mankind, the world can be transformed and peace can be achieved. He asks his followers to adopt a fruitarian diet, practice mindful eating with minimalism, abstain from recreational drugs including alcohol, and lead a pure and celibate lifestyle. Although influenced by Christianity, his path caters to an international community of seekers from diverse backgrounds.

There have also been some backlashes on the internet about the intensity and rawness of his messages. In response, Guru Deseye Subai stayed silent in prayers but his followers defended the honor and authenticity of the man, his message, and his mission[9]. It has also been speculated that his powers may have originated from the marine kingdom as he is a teacher with vast knowledge of water spirits and a kin interest focused on fully understanding water spirits and uncovering the intent behind their existence.

He believes that a man is only constrained by his mind and can accomplish everything he sets his mind to. The Guru holds this belief because he is a teacher with an excellent understanding of the workings of the mind.
