Fredericksburg Baptist Church
editFredericksburg Baptist Church is a church with a significant local, regional, and national history. Its organized assembly dates back to the 19th century. At present, it is located at 1019 Princess Anne Street in the National Historic District of Old Town Fredericksburg, Virginia. Its congregation is currently shepherded by its clergy: Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. James Larry Haun, and Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Patti G. English. The church, formerly a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, is now affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Its reputation as a pioneering force and history maker for the Fredericksburg Baptist community was once again evident when Patti English formally joined the staff, in 1988. She was the first ordained woman minister to serve in an official capacity at Fredericksburg Baptist Church and the Fredericksburg Baptist community. Her first appointment was as Minister with Youth and College Students, and in 1993 she was made associate pastor.
