My name is Fred Little and I am a huge sports fan. Some teams that I prefer to cheer for are the Detroit Pistons (NBA), Detroit Lions (NFL), Detroit Tigers (MLB). I grew up watching the Kentucky Wildcats in all of the major sports in which they play. Although I love sports, I have never participated in any athletic event for my school or anything else, have just played with some friends for fun. I consider myself to be a very knowledgeable fan. I also love to play video games during my free time. In addition to that I play video games online with friends because I like to speak to my friends that I grew up with.

My family is also very important in my life and I appreciate everything that they have done for me. My parents were especially influential in me becoming the person that I am today. My mom is my biggest supporter and she has always trusted me to make the right decision which helps me feel confident about myself. I know that whenever I am down or need help that my family is always there. They have worked hard for their whole lives just to make mine easier and to put me through school so I'm taken care of. My family has always had pride in how hard we work, although you can classify me as being lazy, when I need to I can work hard and give my best effort which has been taught by family throughout my whole life.

I pride myself on how well I do in school such as winning a monthly event at my school which they called a "math-a-thon". I won this event numerous times in each grade that I was in and I'm sure that I've set records at that school for winning the event so many times, records that are still not broken to my knowledge. Many people say that I was a math genius, which helps show that I am recognized for my efforts. Grades are another thing that I pride myself with, I strive to be a good student that way I can make my mom as well as myself proud for being a hard worker.

The thing that describes me most though would be how competitive I can be. Like winning the "math-a-thon" for instance, I was there for the first one that they ever had, but I got to the finals and lost which aggravated me to no end. I was determined to win the next event, and I did for a long time. During my time there I would say that I won at least 7 percent of the events. Even when I'm playing with my friends for fun on a video game, I like to be the best that plays it, even though I know it's for fun, I just don't want to be considered mediocre. There is some instinct in me that kicks in and I have a fear of losing and for a while I thought that was a problem, but as I've grown older I have realized that this is when of my greatest gifts.

How I Feel About Technology edit

My feelings are that technology gives us a great variety of tools and makes life easier. I feel that technology as a great addition to our lives. However, I feel that we have become too reliant on technology and sometimes we use it too much because it is so easy for us to use and we don't like to make things more difficult. Technology is a luxury that we have been blessed with but sometimes we take it for granted and don't take time out to really realize how far technology has come in the last ten years or so. If I had to pick a favorite technological product I would have to say my phone just because it can do a lot of the things that a computer can and it's easier to carry around, giving me the ability to look up something if I really need to know about it as well as using it to tell people where I am. As far as a favorite web browser I would have to say Google Chrome just because it works faster and there are so many things that you can do with it that you can't do with Firefox or even Explorer. I have loved to play PlayStation and Xbox ever since I was a little kid. I've been playing online on both systems online since 2008. I'm very well skilled with technology which may be why I love it so much. While both the Macs and Windows computers each have their own positives and negatives but I prefer the Windows computers just because I have always used them and while I'm familiar with the Macs I am still uncomfortable using them.

First Impressions and My Feelings Now About Wikipedia edit

I don't exactly remember how I stumbled upon Wikipedia because it was so long ago. When I first saw the Wikipedia website I thought it had a lot of key information that I could use, although people said to not use it. It also broke down the topic into different sections which is something that other websites don't do often, which is a positive. It helped me in searching exactly for what I needed to find by sorting out sections of information instead of just reading a whole article full of information that I don't need. As for my thoughts on Wikipedia now, I think much of what I thought then, it's a great tool for information, one of the best tools on the web. Like I said before, people always say that you should not use Wikipedia because it isn't really reliable, but most things are filtered so that people can't just sign in and put false information on the profile. It's just as reliable as any other informational website. The only problem that I have with Wikipedia is that some people take such a great tool for information and ruin it by inserting false information. While it is filtered there are some problems with the webpages inside of Wikipedia because of the annoying people inside of the Wikipedia community, but I guess there are those people on every website.
