Before joining Congresswoman Salazar’s team as the District Director, he consulted and managed political races throughout the State of Florida on the local, state, and federal level. Most recently, Daniel helped Congressman Carlos Gimenez and Representative Jim Mooney in their successful election bids. Previously, he served as the Manager of Advocacy & Public Policy for Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation. At Live Like Bella, Daniel traveled throughout the United States and met with healthcare leaders and researchers leading the fight against childhood cancer. Daniel spearheaded fundraising efforts raising over 1.25 million dollars for cancer research and to help families in need.

Daniel also served as the Deputy District Director for Congressman Carlos Curbelo of Florida’s 26th District, focusing on climate resilience, immigration reform, agriculture, and gun violence. He began with the office as a part-time intern and throughout his tenure rose to lead the South Florida District Office.

There he worked with house leadership to bring federal funds into the district and worked with local stakeholders to develop a direct line between our local community and the Federal Government. Throughout his time with Congressman Curbelo, funds were directed to everglades restoration, development of a transit center, and many others.

Daniel is passionate about his community and dedicates his free time to it. He currently is the Miami co-chair for MAVPac, helping engage young community leaders in the political process on a federal level. In 2006, after his father’s death, Daniel created a foundation, dedicated to raising money for "La Liga Contra Cancer", a non-profit assisting low-income people in South Florida who are unable to afford cancer treatments. Daniel has also worked with the Children’s Bereavement Center (CBC) since 2007 helping children who have lost loved ones in a lead facilitator role.
