Shen Wai International School (SWIS) is an international school in Nanshan District, Shenzhen of Shenzhen, China.

SWIS is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) (4) school providing the full continuum for students aged 4–18: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

SWIS is also authorized by the Council of International Schools (CIS) (1) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) (2) as the first international school in Shenzhen.

The school has 853 students on role (3): K-5: 599, 6-8: 172, 9-12: 82. All classrooms are equipped with an interactive whiteboard or large screen TV. Students in PYP have access to iPads and 1:1 laptops from Grade 3. Students in MYP and DP bring their own Apple laptop.

The campus includes an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, full outdoors track and field, playground and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts.

Curriculum

Shen Wai International School of Nanshan, Shenzhen offers to its students internationally recognized curriculum in the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. Students receive an IB Diploma should they be successful in meeting graduation requirements.

All teachers are qualified teachers.

Spoken and written language of communication is English.

In addition to academics SWIS believes in the value of After School Activities (ASAs) ranging from playing a musical instrument in orchestra or band to fundraising for orphanage and athletics.

Admissions

Applications for admissions at Shen Wai International School Shenzhen are accepted throughout the academic year, which runs from August to June the following year.^[1]
