Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia website in which people can find information about many different topics such as people, books, buildings, and much more. However, Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information to use because it can be written and edited by anyone. Many educators highly recommend that students do not use Wikipedia as a source for their work. All throughout my school career, I remember when it was time to write essays, my teachers would tell us not to get our information from Wikipedia and I never knew why. Eventually, I learned that any random person has the opportunity to change or write information on Wikipedia which is why most do not trust this site. In other words, the information could be very inaccurate or even incorrect. Some of the information on Wikipedia is correct while some are also misleading. This is why when using Wikipedia as a source, you should be very careful or not use it at all.
