Goals

edit
edit

There are a lot of good I.T. (Information/Technology) related articles on Wikipedia, however this is a steadily changing and evolving field that requires constant updating and revision. One of the things that I would like to do here on Wikipedia as a member of the industry is keep these articles clean and up to date. I've been able to use them in the past to help me when both studying for tests as well as when on the job, and would like to ensure that future technicians are able to do so.

Malware

edit

One of the things I would like to start doing at some point is generating articles describing the origin, function, and identification of common types of malware (articles similar to Conficker).. List of I.T. Security Articles (Some require expansion)

  1. ZmEu

Wikimedia contributions

edit

As will be restated in a lower section I do enjoy amateur photography, I need to go through my archives and find what would be useful to Wikimedia.

Film

edit

Of particular interest is the article on Ferrania, I helped kickstart the project and would like to give them a proper entry here.

Finding cool stuff that doesn't have an article yet

edit

Now and again I find cool things that don't have articles on Wikipedia (like the 90's band "Svelt" for example). I will annotate those in a list here.

  1. Svelt (band)
  2. Lunar Software (Game Studio)
  3. *.vix file extension

Articles in need of tweaking that don't really fit in other places on my page

About Me

edit

Professional

edit

I currently hold both CompTIA Security+ and SANS GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) certifications, and have worked in both network infrastructure, and I.T. security for the past several years.

Personal

edit

Starting with the origin of the nickname, it involves a large blue van, a set of railroad tracks, and a few very bored people, and it's pronounced as "Skiz." Beyond that, I enjoy doing both computer and microcontroller programming in my spare time as well as amateur photography. I was a physics major at UTSA but had to move for work, and am currently studying Space Studies with a concentration in Aerospace Science at American Public University.
