Randall Shimanyana Newman (/ˈrændl, ˈnumən/;[1][2] born January 12, 1999)[3] is a Motswana reality television personality, socialite and model.
Newman began his modelling career when he was introduced to one of Botswana's major modelling agencies in Botswana and was signed immediately. After working in commercial print ad campaigns and photoshoots, Newman had breakout seasons in 2016, walking the runways for high fashion designers in South Afica during Johannesburg Fashion Week.[4][5]
Family and early life edit
Randall Newman was born on January 12, 1999 in Gaborone with brother Henry Newman and sister Stephinah Newman.[6] His father died when he was five years old. His father, Jimmy Monoka, was a police officer at Botswana Police Service. Jimmy Monoka was later promoted to be president's personal guard. Newman was born and raised in Gaborone, the son of Beauty Newman, a junior school teacher at Moruakgomo Junior Secondary School. He grew up in Gaborone, and was raised catholic. He has two siblings, Henry and Stephinah, who are the same age as him. Newman was raised in a middle-class background, attending Tshegetsang Junior Secondary School[15] in Molepolole.
Newman's parents were never married. Beauty raised her children with the help of her mother, Josphine. Newman attended St. Joseph's College, Kgale.[7]

Newman found Microdot Inc,[8] a technology company headquartered in Gaborone, Botswana, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services with his brother Henry Newman early 2016.
