Dr. John Doe is an American space weather and solar physicist. He is currently a senior scientist at the Heliophysics Division of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

Background and scientific career

edit

Doe completed a BSc and MSc in physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1981 and 1983, respectively. He received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1987. Following his PhD, he held research positions at Stanford University and UC Berkeley, focusing on the study of solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs). In 1995, he joined the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Research interests

edit

Doe's primary research interest is the impact of solar activity on space weather. His work has significantly advanced the understanding of CMEs and their interaction with Earth's magnetosphere. He has published extensively on these topics and his publications have been widely cited.
