Welcome to my page, my fellow Wikipedians.

Hello! edit

I am Tara and I am from India. It was a random article with some spelling mistakes that led me to create an account here. Since then, I have learned a lot. And now I mostly look for and create articles that are not already present.

Username edit

If you're wondering how my username came to be, it is a juxtaposition of my initials T and E, my partner's name, and some letters from the name of Aime Cesaire, on whose teachings I wrote my first-ever thesis on back in 2008. If I had more knowledge about how these work, I'd have used my full name instead.

Editing Habits edit

I do not concentrate on editing existing articles unless there is wrong information in it. My focus is on creating new articles. I only come here on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, I am mostly working on my day job which I use to make ends meet. I am a professor of Literature at the IGNOU currently shuffling between Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Stub Creator edit

I would like to call myself a stub creator as I hardly expand the articles that I write. Another perspective to this habit is that if a subject is fairly popular universally, it will expanded by fellow Wikipedians, which is very good thing. Although the concept of a good article fascinates me.

Lurker edit

I often read articles about policies here on Wikipedia. While I do not support some of them, I try to follow them while creating articles. If you find that I am not, please let me know. I will fix it.

Thoughts on WP:N edit

My single mantra when I create an article is to see if the subject can be described in a single sentence and still be notable. Exempli gratia:

  • Radhakishan Damani - Billionaire and owner of India's largest hypermarket chain.
  • Fidget Cube - One of the highest crowdfunded and most successful projects.

See? For me, it works that way. I focus on almost all topics, with special interest in literature and international current affairs.

Articles to be Created edit

This a list of articles that I intend to create sometime in future. Most of these are already notable enough, so feel free to create them if you get time.
