WikiRaces edit
WikiRaces is a game devised by Josh Worth in February 2006 that can be played alone or with multiple players. The name is a parody of Wacky Races with the "wiki" prefix and was coined by Dan Taylor, another early player. The aim of the game is to reach a certain article on wikipedia using only the hyperlinks from other articles
Game Rules edit
For the single player game the player starts off on wikipedia's main page and decides the topic that they are going to try to get to. He/she then clicks on random article and from that random article must use the hyperlinks to get to their chosen topic.
For the multiplayer game two or more people who are using two seperate computers near each other both agree on the article that they have to reach. They may wish to visit this article before starting the race. Then they both click on the random article option on the main page. From these seperate pages the player must reach the previously agreed articles and whoever reaches it first in time (as opposed to number of hyperlinks used) is the winner.
Certain rules that the player must abide by are the "Back" option may not be used and the player may not use the "Find" internet option.
