'Stéphane Malhomme

I live in Brisbane, Australia. I am a polyglot wanderluster, married father of two. I come from SE France originally, [[Carpentras]] (near Avignon) spent most of my life abroad, including Guinea as a child (4 years), the UK (10 years), Canada (5 years), Japan (3 years) 1 year here and there in Germany, Hong Kong and Spain.

I speak fluent English and French, and would love to help by translating English to French or vice-versa. It was a while ago but I also worked as a professional translator of technical documentation in the past.

Conversational Spanish and German. Rusty Japanese.

I am a closet-geek who always liked mythology, sciences and philosophy. Which means obviously that set out to waste 15 years of my early career in the brutal salesmanship of recruitment. Took me a while to understand I was way too nerdy for that reptilian trade. I tried to break free a few times along the way though, worked as a journalist (National Post in Toronto, International CNRS magazine) and web project management (Agile).

As an ex journalist, I (hope I) understand well the editorial tone and balancing requirements of Wikipedia, and am very excited to contribute on topics of journalism, online information, information technology and the likes. Some of which I find woefully lacking in general discourse.

INTERESTS: Otherwise I have specific knowledge of / taste for: Music (Rock, Punk, Classic Rock, Prog, Psychedelic Rock, Blues rock, Ambient, Glitch, Reggae, World Music, Chanson francaise, African music, etc.) Recruitment, Executive Search and HR. French culture and language, Psychology and psychotherapy. Engineering (Aerospace, Energy, Lean and 6 Sigma). Mythology. Roman history. Ancient Greek Philosophy. Dialectics. ''Japan''. Provence (a region in France).
