Jac Yarrow (born March 11, 1998) is an Olivier Award Nominated Welsh Actor and Singer, known for his work in West End Theatre and Television.
Personal Life
Yarrow was born and in Cardiff, South Wales on March 11th 1998. He is currently unmarried.
Yarrow is suspected to have a net worth of around £2 million (BP) as of 2023.
Training
Yarrow trained at The Arts Educational Schools, London, graduating in 2019 with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre.
During his final year at ArtsEd, Yarrow made enormous impact playing Jack Kelly in the UK premier of Disney’s Newsies. It was this performance that caught the attention of famed Daily Mail entertainment journalist Baz Bamingboye and subsequently, acclaimed producer Micheal Harrison. Harrison plucked a 20 year old Yarrow from drama school and placed him centre stage at The London Palladium where he made his professional debut as Joseph in the 2019 mega revival of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Stage Career
Yarrow made his professional debut playing the title character in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at The London Palladium opposite Sheridan Smith as The Narrator and Jason Donovan as Pharaoh. In doing so, Yarrow garnered huge critical and public acclaim with papers writing that he was “born on the Palladium stage!”.
In 2019, for his role as Joseph, Yarrow received The Stage Debut Award for Best West End Debut as well as a nomination for Best Actor. He also received nominations from Whatsonstage and The Olivier Awards for Best Actor In A Musical.
Yarrow went on to play Prince Topher in the UK premier of Rogers And Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Cadogan Hall later that year, followed by an appearance in Snow White at The Birmingham Hippodrome.
At Christmas time during covid-19 in 2020, Yarrow made a return to the London Palladium stage in Pantoland At The Palladium. He starred opposite Julian Clary, Elaine Paige, Beverly Knight, Nigel Havers, Charlie Stemp and Ashley Banjo.
Yarrow reprised his role as Joseph in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at The London Palladium in 2021. This time, he starred opposite Alexandra Burke & Linzi Hateley as The Narrator with Jason Donovan returning as Pharaoh.
At the end of 2021, Yarrow returned to The London Palladium for the fourth time starring once again in Pantoland At The Palladium. This time, he shared the stage with entertainment legend Donny Osmond.
In March 2022, Yarrow reprised his role as Joseph in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat for a third time, taking the London production on tour across the United Kingdom & Ireland.
Yarrow most recently played Joseph in the first North American revival since Donny Osmond played the role in 1991. This was at the Princess Of Wales Theater in Toronto, Canada (November 2022-February 2023).
Yarrow is soon to be back in the West End in Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at The Geilgud Theatre, a revue featuring the music of famed American composer Stephen Sondheim. This show is to be produced and devised by Sir Cameron Mackintosh, directed by Matthew Bourne and Julia McKenzie, and will also star Broadway legends Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga.
Television Work
In 2019, Yarrow played bad boy Jamie Dalton in BBC BAFTA winning Drama In My Skin.
During 2020, Yarrow played Angelo Bernadone in Dreamlight Productions new series Glow And Darkness starring opposite Dame Joan Collins, Jane Seymour and Denise Richards.
Yarrow sang the chart topper Any Dream Will Do from Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on BBC: The Greatest Show airing in 2020.
