Chang is most noted for starting The Pink Revolution[1], a movement to replace the current fear-based political system with one motivated by love of self, others and the environment. One of the most well-known acts [2] of The Pink Revolution was to deliver[3][4] thousands of "Pink Slips" to The White House, these pink slips called for the impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney and to ask them to appear at the International Criminal Court in The Hague where they had been accused of crimes against humanity.

Another initiative started by Chang was the Tsunami Love Soup initiative for healing[5]. Chang also attempted to create a new policital party at the Burning Man festival in 2004[6]. During this time, she organized a press conference and meeting which was then voted on by the attendees gathered there, who chose not to form a political party at that time.

Chang is also noted for selling costumes[7] and accessories on street corners in San Francisco as part of her political and healing activities.
