ongenga constituency
editongenga constituency is one of the 10 constituencies in the ohangwena region.It is located in the northern part of namibia along side the namibia-angola border.
The constituency is mainly inhibited by one of the seven oshiwambo speaking tribes, the oshikwanyama speaking tribe.recent census contacted revealed that the population of ongenga is approximately 21706 people. these comprises of 12092 females and 9614 males respectively. The constitueny setup is mainly dominated by traditional homesteads with a few modern homesteads being established on a marginalized place. As is it with other constituencies in namibia in namibia ongenga has its own Councillor by the name of Mr Leonard shimutwikeni.
Ongenga constituency has about 30 schools of which only two are secondary school, Eengendjo senior secondary school and omungwelume senior secondary school. in addition to this there are also about 4 clinics where the community can get help regarding their health.ongenga clinic
