My name is Sebastiaan van Doorn, a independant entomologist and honorary junior conservator at the Natural History Museum Rotterdam. The focus of my work lies in identification, registration and integration of donated collections into the scientific and educational collections of the museum. My goals in doing so are to improve data quality and data mobilisation of the collection and preserving material for future generations.
I see the activities at Wikimedia as an extension of my earlier mentioned work and hope to improve the accessibility of information.
