Scott Slocum contributes occasionally to articles on Wikipedia in order to make the writing a little clearer. He doesn't have a specialty. He's a retired software developer and a life-long pet lover, student of biology etc., and independent scientific/political commentator.

Scott is a fan of the New Oxford American Dictionary, Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary and Thesaurus, Google Translate, and, of course, Wikipedia.

His username "ScottSloe" comes from parts of his name: Scott is a person from Scotland, and Sloe is a wild plum. To keep it simple, he left out Combe (a type of valley; variously spelled as coomb, combe, coombe, comb, etc.).
