The German language word "Schweißer" means "welder". Like a Wikipedian, a welder joins materials. Welders typically have to have good dexterity and attention to detail, as well as some technical knowledge about the materials being joined and best practices in the field. Wikipedians typically should have similar properties. And, as you surely know, welders are really hard working guys, aren't they? ;-)
