Why I Became a Wikipedia Editor

Hello. I'm a long time user of Wikipedia and recent editor.

When I was young, I read Isaac Asimov 's Foundation and was inspired by the idea of having a Universal Encyclopedia.

I believe that with the right use of citation and sources Wikipedia can be a great springboard for further research. I am still learning the ropes, so please leave a message on my talk page if something I worked on needs clarification.

My Interests within Wikipedia Editing

Music

I'm passionate about organizing, linking and improving articles regarding music scenes and cultures. The more articles I help improve, the more I learn about existing music styles and genres that influenced cultural and historical movements.

I also find joy in creating or improving articles about musicians (popular or classical). I personally believe people should not only learn about icons, like Mozart and Jimmy Paige, but living ones, as well; the people behind the scenes creating music for TV, films, video games and pop stars.

Music is something I have prior knowledge of, therefore, it is much easier for me to research and check sources on this topic rather than other topics.

Languages

I know some Spanish, so with help from a fluent friend and when time permits, I'll try to translate a Spanish page in English and vice versa. We all know how wonderful and accurate those computer translators are.

My Meta Existence in the Wiki World

As mentioned above, I like to create, organize and improve the look of articles. Walls of text are a huge pet peeve, so I will do a lot of organizing.

Therefore, I am a half Wiki CreatorElf and half Wiki Fairy
