I studied economics (but I don't think I'm good enough at math to practice it.)
I abhor communism and socialism but I still believe in minimum wages and other social safety nets as stabilizing factors in an economy's short run. I just wish minimum wages can be lowered sometimes.
I try to be as polite and respectful as I can and I hope you do the same. However, my patience has limits in the face people stubbornly defending their beliefs despite being proven illogical. Note: only when stubborn.
I'd like to apologize if I don't follow up on my remarks that I'd make contributions to an article. I can be pretty picky and sometimes in my efforts to do more research (not much effort actually) I end up not wanting to do it anymore.
I'm agnostic. Don't know if there's a God and would like there to be one but I seriously don't know.
Until proven otherwise, I believe political economics is an oxymoron and should have been superceded by economics long ago.
I've recently taken up a hobby of growing plants. Mostly rare indigeneous Philippine fruit trees. Hopefully, I can expand some articles on these topics.

To be honest the "rebuttal" offered does not really address the minimum wage issue.... in fact example given by sounds like communism... all ten people benefitting equally... in such a state of COURSE there is no need to increase minimum wage.... cost of living is the same! but factor in greedy corporate owners with a profit motive and it changes the equation user:peoplestruth
Answered peoplestruth. Did not really offer a rebuttal. I just wanted to show the trade-off of raising minimum wage. Update: peoplestruth has not responded and his comments above only dodge the issue. I suggest you visit his talkpage to get a clearer picture of the issue.
