Ravi Vyom Shankar Jha (born on 17 September 1992) in Dhanga Kaluahi, Madhubani, Bihar, is a well known International Yoga and Spiritual Guru. He is known for his contributions in Health and Fitness Sector. He is founder of RAVI YOGA FOUNDATION. He is also creator and performer of Aqua Yoga concept. He carries respectful badges of numerous world records.[1] He has taught over thousands of Yoga aspirants, including training Amir Khan for the movie Dangal and various other celebrities.

Early Life

Growing up like any other child, Yogacharya Ravi Jha attended a nearby village school in Madhubani, Bihar. His concept of Water Yoga originated from an incident during his school days when he accidentally fell into the school's well, which was the only source of water at that time.

He inherited his passion for yoga from his parents and his elder brother. Practicing yoga since childhood in his village, Yogacharya Ravi Jha later learned about Swami Ramdev Baba’s camp, where he worked for about 5-6 years.

Education

After completing his high school and intermediate education at Watson High School, Madhubani, Yogacharya Ravi Jha pursued his graduation in Hindi Honours at R.K. College, Madhubani. During his college years, he discovered his deep interest in yoga and began balancing his time between Swami Ramdev Baba’s yoga camp and his studies. He later completed a Master of Arts in Yogic Science from University of Patanjali.

Career

The Yoga Guru begun the aqua yoga performance at 06:00 AM morning on 22 October and finished it next day at 06:04 AM in the presence of Guinness World Record (GWR) officials. He has performed many mudras, asanas, Pranaayam, Dhyaan and Kriyas changing every minute without any repetition during all 24 hours time. Ravi Vyom Shankar Jha wanted to do something to capture the youths imagination and show them how this ancient cultural legacy can lead to global recognition so he came up with the idea of Aqua Yoga. This attempt took place at India Club's swimming pool in Dubai. The longest and first ever aqua yoga performance marathon (male) is 24 hours 4 minutes and was achieved by him, in Dubai, UAE on 23 October 2021.[2]

The event also witnessed large number of people from Indian diaspora in UAE who came to support and encourage the Yogratna aquaman. Yogratna Ravi Vyom Shankar Jha created a GWR and obtained the first title of the "Longest Aqua Yoga Marathon". After due verification and due diligence, the GWR officials confirmed the award and the Guinness World Record title. This 24-hour-long Aqua Yoga Marathon was performed under the theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, 'India @75' and 50th UAE Golden Jubilee celebration.

Owing to his love for the country, Yogacharya performed the bungee jumping carrying Indian national flag ‘Tiranga’ at Shivpuri, Uttarakhand (elevation: 1120 ft.) to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on 15th August 2023.[1] It was also recorded in Golden Book of World Records (GBWR).
