The slogan of this association is now “ours is a divine vision with a divine mission… It can’t die.

History

edit

Some time in April,1970 at the C.A.C. Bethel Chapel of University of Ibadan, a group of Undergraduate Students, led by Bro Samuel Oluwabusuyi Arogundade, (of blessed memory) a Political Science student of the university was praying. It was during the course of the prayer that Bro. Arogundade(of blessed memory) saw a vision; torrent was sweeping away the youths of the church. He shared the vision with his partners in prayer and the leader of the church – Prophetess J.O. Ogunranti (of blessed memory) for more understanding of the vision. Prophetess J.O. Ogunranti(of blessed memory) who did not only prayed but gave an insight into the vision made it known that the Lord was seeking for the someone who could stand in the gap to rescue the youth from the worldliness and satanic domination. She related the vision to the President of the mission Pastor E.T. Latunde (of blessed memory). Pastor Latunde (of blessed memory) gave a green light to the pursue of the vision after seeking the face of the Lord with the help of three most senior prophets in the mission The group of brethren who prayed along with Bro Arogundade(of blessed memory) moved on to seek the face of the Lord on how to execute the vision. During the cause of seeking the Lord’s face, the name “EGBE AKEKO LESE JESU” which was taking to mean Christ Apostolic Church Student Association was given to the vision.

Vision and Mission

edit

The vision was related to Prophetess Mrs. J.O. Ogunranti (of blessed memory) of Christ Apostolic Church Bethel chapel, university of Ibadan, who in like manners related it to Pastor Latunde (of blessed memory). Pastor Latunde(of blessed memory) sought God’s confirmation, involving other prophets of whom Late Pastor Akinade was part of the group who seek for God’s counsel. It was said that the Lord confirmed the vison , hence the vision received her acceptance from the Authority of C.A.C. in the year 1970 so also did the name of given to the mission, (Christ Apostolic Church Students’ Association)
