The Staten Island Clown, better known as the SI Clown, is an American entertainer and now local celebrity who first appeared on the streets of Staten Island, New York during the evening hours, silently waving at people while holding balloons. He slightly resembles the creepy clown, Pennywise, from Stephen King's bestselling novel IT. Although the true identity of the viral clown still remains a mystery, it was later discovered on Z100's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show that the creepy clown was the "brainchild" of a marketing ploy done by an independent production company, Fuzz on the Lens Productions.
